Kenan's Senior Portraits | Stafford, VA

Once upon a time, I met Lacy.  She was caring for a sweet baby who happened to be my daughter's BFF.  Lacy was so kind and sweet to me and though she had 3 fairly grown kids of her own, she completely empathized with all of us first time moms and never looked down on "us" for our new mom way of thinking.  She was one of the first people who let me know that it was okay to do whatever worked for our family no matter what other people thought.  She's a seasoned mom and let me tell you, she's legit.  I've grown to love Lacy over the last 3.5 years and I was so excited when she asked me to do her baby's senior portraits!  Lacy is not afraid of letting her kids grow up and develop in their own individual ways, but they are all definitely still her BABIES!

Kenan, the oldest of his siblings, was a DREAM to photograph.  First of all, just look at him.  He didn't even have to try, always had a natural expression, and did whatever I asked him to do!  It was a very different experience than with the 3 year old I normally chase around with a camera at my house.  Not only was Kenan so handsome, but he serenaded us with music the entire shoot!  His guitar is a huge part of his life so these photos definitely captured him in his element.  To top things off, I got to spend the afternoon walking in a beautiful park with Kenan's entire family.  They are an all hands on deck kind of family so this gave me someone to hold my camera bag, reflector, and even my Starbucks cup!  I was very spoiled :) Now please go gush over these photos with me!
